Our Story

My name is Dev,
and I am passionate about paneer.
The concept for The Paneer Wrap Street Food Company was born in 2016. I hosted a BBQ at my house and introduced paneer to my friends alongside the usual burgers, sausages and the like. I was so proud when everybody made a bee-line for the homemade paneer and suggested that I bring my tasty flavours to the masses and that is where the journey began.
Curious why this hugely popular Indian classic was missing from the street food scene, and longing for more people to develop a penchant for the paneer that I savoured growing up, I promised to bring paneer to the people.
As any foodie will tell you, the best street food encourages you to try new foods, is authentic, tasty, good quality, is cooked fresh in front of you, mobile and great value. I'm proud to bring to you something that has all of these qualities and more.

What is Paneer?
Paneer is a fresh, silky, non-melting crumbly cheese, common in the Indian subcontinent. It is an unaged, non-melting soft cheese made by curdling milk with a fruit or vegetable-derived acid, such as lemon juice. Simply put, it has an amazing ability to absorb a variety of flavours and works beautifully in aromatic Indian-style dishes, from vegetarian curries and wraps to spiced skewers.
